The Aikido Center of Jacksonville is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We actively work to increase the usability of our site, and of course welcome your suggestionsOur website strives to conform to the Priority 1 checkpoints of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0", available at http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/WAI-WEBCONTENT-19990505. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. In addition, and consistent with our commitment to best practices, our site passes automated verification for Section 508.
Finally, our website is code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS, and our XML sitemap validates under the Sitemap Protocol 0.9 schema. The site displays correctly in modern browsers, and has been tested with Internet Explorer (v. 6, 7), Firefox (v. 2), and the WebKit based browsers Safari (v. 2, 3) and Google Chrome (v. 1). Aspects of the site have been optimized for mobile Safari.
JavaScript and Plugins
We recommend that you enable JavaScript, if supported by your browser, as indicated below. Although JavaScript is not required to display our maps or class calendar, it does allow for greater interactivity. Our gallery, however, requires both JavaScript and the Adobe Flash plugin, and works best with a fast internet connection.
