It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Christmas Tree TopThe holiday season is here! Some quick news about dojo happenings, so you can plan ahead and be merry.

First, our annual Christmas party is scheduled for next Friday, December 11, at 6:00 p.m. Like our past Christmas gatherings, this is more of an adult function, though all our students and families are welcome. We’ll bring the hors d’oeuvres and beverages, good cheer and fellowship. Our Christmas parties are informal, and are a relaxing way to end the week. (And yes, we’ll still have our open mat class!)

Next, on January 2, we’ll hold our annual misogi, or cleansing class. Cleansing class is a tradition that Dee brought to Jacksonville, back in 2000, after discussing her ideas with Bob Zimmerman Sensei, and with assistance from Mike Sands. This will be our sixteenth annual misogi class, and it is always an amazing experience. If you can, you should make plans to attend; it’ll be special.
