Children's Kyu Tests
Congratulations are due to our newest tenth kyus!  Gabriel, Katie, Daniella, and Isabella tested successfully on June 13th, during our children's class.  Sensei is very pleased with your progress and hard work.

New Students
Speaking of children's class, please also welcome two new students to the school: Will and Gavin.  We're thrilled you're here!

Adult Kyu Tests
Of course we haven't forgotten our adult students.  Our next adult kyu tests are scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at 12:15 p.m.  Make sure you're ready!

Kids Movie Night
Our first movie night was a big hit, and great fun to boot.  We watched Twilight Samurai, enjoyed popcorn and pizza, and tried to find ikkyo in the fight scenes.

So for our next movie night, we decided to cater to our youngest students.  The movie is Kung Fu Panda, an animated fable about, well, Kung Fu and a Panda.  We've scheduled the showing for Saturday, July 11, at 6 p.m.  This time around, we will be providing the popcorn and pizza.  (We are, however, asking for a $5.00 donation per child to help defray our expenses).

Friends and families, of course, are always welcome.  (In fact, we encourage it!)  Parents, please let us know if your child (or you!) are interested, and whether any of your child's friends will be attending.  Thanks!

Upcoming Seminars
On July 25, Grady Lane Sensei of Brevard Aikikai will visit our dojo for a one day seminar.  I hope everyone will make plans to attend. Lane Sensei, a Shidoin, has been training and teaching Aikido for over thirty years.

Yoga Classes, Children's Classes
Beginning July 6, Anastasia will begin teaching Yoga at the dojo.  She is offering instruction at 5 p.m., on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Her classes are open to everyone.  If you, or perhaps a spouse or friend, are interested, please drop by.  For those entering the dojo for the 6 p.m. Aikido class, Sensei asks that you remain quiet and courteous while the Yoga class is in session.

Also, on Thursday July 9, we will be adding a third children's class, at 5 p.m.  This class will be in addition to our Tuesday and Saturday classes.

Tonya Is Engaged!
Tonya has announced on her blog that she and Luke are engaged to be wed.  Luke proposed to Tonya on June 15th, her birthday.  Congratulations, to the both of you.  We wish you the best!

Robert Zimmermann Seminar
Sensei had a wonderful time at Brevard Aikikai this past weekend.  Zimmermann Sensei demonstrated powerful hip movements and fluid, precise motion.

Summer Promotion
Our summer promotion is still in full swing.  Remember: if you refer someone who signs up, you will get a tuition credit.  Such a deal!  We are counting on you to make this promotion a success.  So please, whether you are at work, or at UNF, spread the word about our dojo.  Let's grow the school!
