your age. In addition to our adult and children's classes, we offer specialized

Rank System
View our test requirementsView our test requirements
For adults, our school uses white and black belts to mark rank. There are six levels of white belt and ten levels of black belt. Hakamas are worn by yudansha (those who have reached black belt rank), and may be worn by female students who have passed their first promotional test. As a motivational tool, children in our school are awarded colored belts. There are no child black belts in our system.
Rank earned at our school is recognized by the United States Aikido Federation, the largest Aikido federation in the United States, and by its member dojos. In addition, our black belts are registered with the Aikikai Foundation, the headquarters for Aikido worldwide.
Etiquette
